AIF Grantee

Hands of Mothers Rwanda is a non-profit organization that has been a transformative force, creating sustainable change in the lives of vulnerable women, children, and young adults, since 2009. The organization's holistic approach integrates quality education, mentorship, and economic empowerment to break cycles of poverty and inequality.
Hands of Mothers has established and supported six women’s craft and agricultural cooperatives and five Savings and Lending Groups, providing entrepreneurship training and microloans to build resilience for over 200 women living with HIV. Annually, they ensure education for more than 160 children by covering school fees, supplies, and essentials, while their high-impact boarding school program offers daughters of sex workers a safe environment to thrive academically and personally.
Additionally, the organization strengthens futures through educational support like their free English Library, English Learning Enrichment Program, computer lab program, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights training; equipping the next generation with skills and knowledge for success.
