Ecobed Biotech Brand is a Ugandan biotechnology enterprise transforming agricultural waste into sustainable solutions that improve health, protect the environment, and create economic opportunities for underserved communities. Our mission is to build a circular bioeconomy by converting spoiled milk and organic waste into high-impact products, including mosquito-repellent skincare that provides long-lasting protection against mosquito bites and clean fuel additives that improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
Beyond this, we also manufacture organic fertilizers and animal feeds that support soil health, increase farm productivity, and strengthen livelihoods for smallholder farmers. We have also developed NutriGrab, an AI-enabled digital agriculture and circular food systems platform that redistributes soon-to-expire food, connects farmers to markets, and enables access to rent-to-use agricultural equipment, improving efficiency and reducing post-harvest losses.
Through NutriGrab, supermarkets, restaurants, schools, food processors, and other food businesses can list surplus food before it expires, allowing consumers and community organizations to purchase nutritious food at affordable prices while preventing waste. The platform also enables women farmers to access institutional B2B markets, including hotels, supermarkets, and processors, giving them reliable buyers and fair prices. In addition, farmers can borrow or rent agricultural equipment and access inputs on demand, reducing capital barriers and increasing productivity.
Through these integrated solutions, Ecobed is reducing waste, advancing climate action, and improving community health while creating inclusive economic opportunities across the agricultural value chain. Together, these services create a more resilient, inclusive, and circular food system that benefits producers, consumers, and the environment.
