Maono Africa Centre for Transformation is a community-rooted, non-profit organisation working with children and young people in Dandora and other underserved communities in Nairobi, Kenya. Maono uses sports, arts and safe spaces as trusted entry points to engage young people, nurture their talents, build confidence and connect them to opportunities that enable them to thrive.
Through football, dance, theatre, music and creative arts, Maono links children and young people to education support, mentorship, leadership development, psychosocial wellbeing, child protection, advocacy, practical skills and dignified livelihood opportunities. Its work prioritizes young people affected by poverty, unemployment, human trafficking, school dropout, and child domestic work, exploitation and abuse, empowering them to become resilient, self-reliant and active contributors to their communities.
