The Kasese District Association of Persons with Disabilities (KADUPEDI) is an umbrella organization established in 1996 in Kasese District, Western Uganda, to unite individuals across all disability categories. KADUPEDI is an NGO, affiliated with the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU).

Guided by its vision of improving the living standards of persons with disabilities and its mission to create a unified voice advocating for equalization and inclusive opportunities in Kasese District, KADUPEDI operates under the motto “Don’t fish for me but teach me how to fish.” Its key objectives include mobilizing persons with disabilities (PWDs) for socio-economic action; strengthening collaboration with local government and civil society; promoting disability awareness and inclusiveness in development; and advocating for equal rights and opportunities. KADUPEDI’s core programs focus on human rights and advocacy, economic empowerment, climate change adaptation, community-based inclusive development, and enhanced partnerships. The organization’s primary beneficiaries are persons with disabilities and their parents or caretakers.
