Hereafter Ghana is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 by Alimatu Nuhu Sadia (then 19). The organisation is based in Tamale, Northern region of Ghana, with a mission to provide social support and empowerment to vulnerable people and communities across Ghana. It operates in four thematic areas: Health, Education, Women Economic Empowerment, and Charity drives.
Through passion, dedication and collective effort, Hereafter Ghana has made tangible impacts in health, education, youth and women empowerment, and charity. Paying hospital bills for hundreds of stranded patients; conducting free medical outreaches in hard-to-reach communities; enrolling thousands of children, pregnant women, and the aged under the National Health Insurance Scheme; supporting underserved schools and communities with over 100 dual desks and essential teaching and learning materials; providing start-up capital to women; and offering monthly stipends to orphans to sustain their education and welfare. Remarkably, all these have been achieved through the power of local resource mobilization, volunteerism, and community trust.
Between 2024 and 2025 with intensive support in structures and tools from the New Africa Fund, Hereafter Ghana has established two social enterprises in order to plough back the profits to its social initiatives and operations. These include:
1. Hereafter Studio, a photography and videography venture providing quality cinematography services at competitive prices.
2. FundXcelerate Consultancy, providing local fundraising training, local philanthropy education, and resource mobilisation consultancy to individuals, organisations and communities.
A portion of the proceeds from these ventures is reinvested to sustain and expand Hereafter Ghana’s sustainability, programmes and community development projects.
